As an affiliate of the National Staff Development Council (NSDC), the Florida Association of Staff Development enjoys a close relationship with professional development leaders from across the country.

The network of NSDC, affiliate leaders, and other advocates recently developed a clear definition of professional development to be included in ESEA, NCLB reauthorization. The new definition specifies that professional development means:
